REDBAY studio & team
Founded in 2006 and led by Nick Perrett, Redbay Design is a chartered landscape consultancy specialising in landscape planning, bespoke design, historic estates, and long-term landscape management.
Based at the Manor House at Cockington Country Park in Torquay, Devon, our studio combines technical expertise with a deeply context-driven design approach. We work closely with clients, developers, and planning authorities to create resilient, practical, and beautifully integrated landscapes that respect their natural setting while serving their long-term purpose.

REDBAY EXPERIENCE
With over 20 years of experience across the South West, Redbay has supported projects through planning applications, appeals, landscape assessment, detailed design and long-term management. The studio works across sensitive rural sites, private estates, public realm, education, healthcare, leisure and infrastructure, bringing a clear understanding of how landscape can shape better project outcomes.
PAULA
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Combining technical precision with creative spatial design, Paula holds a Master of Engineering in Landscape Architecture from Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and advanced study in Chinese garden design from Hunan Agricultural University in Changsha.

Paula has extensive experience across public realm projects, including urban squares, playgrounds, and schools. She enjoys working on diverse landscape and garden schemes at every phase of design.
​
When she isn't in the studio, Paula loves cooking, keeping fit, and raising her two energetic young boys.
NICK
CHARTERED LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / FOUNDER
Nick’s approach to landscape design combines deep horticultural expertise with technical design rigor. He initially trained with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and worked in landscape construction before earning his BA (Hons) in Landscape Design (1995) and Diploma in Landscape Architecture (1997) at Manchester Metropolitan University.

With 40 years of experience across private practice and the public sector in the UK and Australia, Nick has led projects ranging from commercial leisure sites and urban parks to bespoke residential gardens and play spaces.
​
Outside the studio, Nick stays active outdoors, whether camping with family and friends, mountain biking, or paddleboarding.
JEN
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Following a successful 12-year career in commercial property consultancy, Jen retrained to align her professional focus with her passion for sustainable landscape design. Starting at the Eden Project with an HND in Garden & Landscape Design, she went on to earn a BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture from the University of Gloucestershire in 2024.
Jen brings a deep horticultural knowledge to Redbay Design, placing plants at the heart of her work to create biodiverse, accessible, and resilient outdoor environments. Away from work, she is an avid coastal hiker, sea swimmer, and historic garden enthusiast.

INETA
LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN
Graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Garden and Landscape Design from the Eden Project, Ineta brings a strong foundation in sustainable design practice, technical detail, and creative planting strategies to the Redbay Design team.
As a Landscape Technician, Ineta assists across all project stages, producing precise technical drawings, detailed planting plans, visual presentation graphics, and core project documentation. She holds a keen interest in landscape hydrology and regenerative design, bringing ecologically conscious thinking to the practice's diverse portfolio.
Outside of the studio, Ineta can usually be found at the pottery wheel, sea swimming, or exploring regional gardens and coastal landscapes.
WILL
SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
A Chartered Landscape Architect since 2017, Will holds a BSc in Biosciences from Durham University and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the University of Sheffield. His career spans commercial developments at The terra firma Consultancy and seven years crafting high-profile public and private gardens at Harris Bugg Studio, including the renowned kitchen garden at RHS Garden Bridgewater.

Now at Redbay, Will specializes in LVIAs and detailed construction design, driven by a deep connection to West Country landscape projects. Off-duty, he stays busy cycling, surfing, and adventuring across the Southwest with his young family.
GINA
OFFICE AND FINANCE MANAGER
Gina brings extensive financial and operational expertise to Redbay Design, ensuring our practice runs efficiently behind the scenes. Her career spans accountancy practice, private enterprise, and the non-profit sector, equipping her with a comprehensive background in all aspects of financial management.

At Redbay Design, Gina oversees accounting and provides crucial administrative support, keeping our studio grounded and our project operations moving smoothly. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring the local countryside with her dog, taking on DIY and gardening projects, and spending quality time with her family.
